Who We Are
Since 1997, Generation Unashamed Ministries (formerly Cutting EDGE Ministries) has been equipping churches to reach the next generation for Christ and connect them to a local church.

Why We Exist
This generation isn’t running from faith—it’s searching for truth.
They are spiritually curious, but without peers who can model and explain the gospel, that curiosity fades into confusion. The Church has a window of opportunity right now to help students meet Jesus and live boldly for Him in their schools, teams, online spaces, and communities.
Generation Unashamed exists to equip the Church to seize that moment—training students to become missionaries to their peers and helping youth pastors lead them with confidence, community, and Christ-centered resources.

Our Story
What began as a local student-led outreach called Cutting EDGE Ministries has grown into a national movement now known as Generation Unashamed Ministries.
Since 1997, our team has been equipping youth pastors, training student missionaries, and creating gospel-sharing resources. What initially began as a movement throughout four major counties in the DC-metro region spread throughout the United States and internationally. Through after-school clubs, students were trained as missionaries to reach their schools with the gospel and invite friends to their local church. A strategic shift occurred during the international Covid-19 pandemic, focusing resources online and reaching exponentially more students and youth pastors with training and resources. Today, clubs are only one part of our strategy to reach students; we use a myriad of resources to help an Unashamed Generation reach their peers for Christ.

Robert "Bob" Smith
Board Treasurer
I was born in Alaska and raised in an agricultural community in Arizona. I attended Northern Arizona University (NAU) in lovely Flagstaff and was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force in May of 1985. I served as a finance officer for seven years and separated after my deployment to Desert Storm. When leaving the Air Force, I became a Financial Advisor and after 26 years I’m still serving my clients and the Body of Christ as a Financial Advisor. During my transition from the Air Force, Jesus captured my heart and I’ve been walking with Him since that faithful night in 1991. Following my call, I completed graduate studies at Liberty Theological Seminary in May of 2016 and was ordained at my local church as an elder/pastor. Today, I serve as an Executive Pastor at Impact Church of NOVA. I am married to Lisa, and we have five adult children. We enjoy the beach the lake and anytime we are together. Lisa plays the guitar for the praise band and is a dedicated disciple, wife, and mother. I enjoy most outdoor activities to include motorcycle riding, snow/water skiing, hunting, hiking and camping. Finally, me and my family are passionate about following Jesus and sharing the hope that resides in us!
